About This Wine...
“This is a Sancerre for a Burgundy lover, with exquisite Sauvignon Blanc and a little oak influence as well. The result is stunning: a soft, lean, zesty Sancerre… A delight” Tomás Clancy, the Sunday Business Post, 25th February 2018
“a delicate and elegant wine with many layers, aromas of zesty lime, honeyed melon and peach notes which follow through on the palate with added hints of minerality. It is richly textured, yet fresh creating a perfectly balanced wine” Lynda Coogan, thetaste.ie May 2018
Medium bodied with aromas of limes, stone fruit and a touch of honey. Fresh, lively and very long on the palate but with plenty of texture.
François Crochet marches to the beat of a different drum. Whilst there are several aspects to his 11 ha domaine that are fairly classical, it is in the cellar where he pushes the envelope to gain every inch of flavour and precision from his fruit. With minimum intervention, the resulting wines are extraordinary: richer and rounder than traditional Sauvignons but with superb, underlying freshness and minerality.
