The Searsons team

Our team is larger than you might think! On the trade side of our business, we have a salesteam with five Account Managers led by a Customer Development Manager. Our goal is to focus on helping you develop your business, rather than just asking for an order. We also have a retail shop in Monkstown, where our office is located. All of our wines are available to buy here.

Andrew O'Brien is our Customer Development Manager. Andrew has a wealth of experience in managing salesteams, as well as experience in running his own restaurant. Running is a bit of a theme for Andrew - he is a keen runner, and off the road, he is a bundle of energy and positive thinking. Although he has just arrived into wine, his appetite for learning about wine has now approached sprint mode!

Charles Searson's 20 years wine experience has been instrumental in re-shaping Searsons so that it is fit for the 21st century. He is a serial techie & spreadsheet guru. His classic Mercedes indicates his personality - he is a fifth gear kind of person. In front of an audience his enthusiasm is infectious. Charles may have been weaned on Bordeaux & Burgundy, but his palate appreciates well made wine, no matter its price or provenance.

Alan O'Toole's area covers Dublin, north Leinster and the midlands. Alan has many years experience in the wine trade. His extremely pleasant and ever helpful manner belies a keen appreciation of margins, a wealth of wine knowledge and a can-do attitude. Pesquera Ribera would be one of his many favourites.

Tanya Livingston covers Dublin and south Leinster. Tanya is both astute and efficent, with a keen eye for great ideas, and is highly regarded by her customers, many of which are restaurants. In a short working week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday), she will do more for your business than most men will do in a month! Favourite wine: Alion.

Peter McCabe's area covers a triangle from North Kerry up through Limerick, Clare and into Galway. Ten seconds with Peter invariably produces a smile, if not a laugh. A warm and engaging person, his love of wine has taken him on the high seas on cruise ships, and into fine dining around the world. Now grounded in Limerick, there is no better man to impart wine advice in the area.

John Gillivan is a very welcome new addition to our team, and is based in Westport, covering from Galway up to Donegal. He is larger than life, at over 6 feet tall, and remarkably energetic in personal and professional life. Your wine business is safe in his large, capable hands.

Arabella Page is our Office Manager, and is in charge of Orders; she is the lynch-pin of the company. Bells is incredibly helpful in explaining our offers, and ensuring customers get the best possible deal. She is also very wine-savy, and is an excellent second point of contact for trade customers. Favourite wines include Domaine Carillon Mercurey.

Katarina Siklodyova is in charge of getting wines from our suppliers into our warehouse. Katarina is highly capable and super-efficient, and a no-nonsense multi-tasker always willing to help. Favourite drink: herbal tea!

Our warehouse and delivery team is made up of three highly capable and affable individuals:

Simon Wilkinson is in charge of getting our wines from our warehouse to your door, and runs the warehouse and delivery side of our business. In spite of an often challenging position, Simon's engaging smile and behind-the-scenes efficiency are remarkable. He also has a keen appreciation of wine and food.

Artur Karwowski is the front man who delivers our wines in Dublin. If you can avert your gaze from his smile, you might well notice his graceful movements which betray a quite artistic background!

John O'Donohoe is a third smiley face on our delivery team. When not delivering wine with Artur, Johnnie uses his wine knowledge and likeable manner to sell wine in the pub channel in Dublin. Otherwise, he follows Man Utd while drinking Zenato Ripassa!

John Wilson is in charge of buying our wines. John combines 20 years of buying and selling wine with inspirational writing skills. Personal preferences veer towards lighter, elegant wine styles, such as Mabileau St. Nicolas Bourgeuil.

Denise Browne is our Financial Controller. Like a good wine, she is extremely approachable, and has a sensible Contact me if you think you have a problem with payment policy.

Maureen O'Hara is our part-time marketing support. When she is not coming up with helpful ways of selling wine, Maureen also runs her own separate WSET-approved wine training business.

Jeff Corbett runs our shop in Monkstown. He is always keen to help you choose, no matter what your budget is.
