Previously called Chateau Mauvesin, the estate dates back to 1457 and once held Cru Bourgeois status. Melanie Sartorius-Barton is the winemaker at the estate. Every vintage is an exciting progression along this chateau's journey.

The No 17 Club Claret is a special Cuvee from top Bordeaux property Chateau Mauvesin Barton. It is owned by the famous “Wine Geese” family of the Bartons, whose ancestor Thomas Barton moved from Ireland to Bordeaux in 1722, they also own Chateau Langoa and Leoville Barton in St. Julien.

Vivid ruby colour. The nose is nicely fruity with a delicate hint of vanilla. Red fruits such as current and strawberry. Silky and delicate tannins. Open, supple, wine.
